Until recently, artificial sweeteners made with saccharin have been required to contain a warning label informing the public of saccharin's tendency to cause certain types of
cancer. In December 2000 Congress passed legislation removing all such saccharin warnings. Saccharin producers hailed the move as they have long contended that the substance does not cause cancer. Health experts are not so sure. Many critics claim that saccharin continues to be a public health threat.
If you have been diagnosed with cancer and suspect that saccharin may be to blame, it may be important to
contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be
time limits within which you must commence suit.
