Modified on 2009/10/14 21:39 by admin
Papilledema occurs when increased brain pressure caused by tumors, head injury, medication, bleeding in the brain, high blood pressure, cavernous sinus thrombosis, or pseudotumor cerebri results in swelling of the optic nerve. If the pressure is not promptly relieved, damage to the optic nerve, and / or the brain may be sustained.
