Excessive Bleeding: Overview
Excessive bleeding may occur when there are abnormalities in the
blood
, such as a low platelet count or irregular clotting factors. Along with many other causes, the Food & Drug Administration has determined that the interaction between the
anti-clotting drug
warafin
and vaginal creams and suppositories containing
miconazole
(such as Monistat) may cause such bleeding.
