The epididymis is a tube nearly 20 feet long that carries sperm away from the testes. An epididymal cyst may form when fluid collects in a sac somewhere along the epididymis. An epididymal cyst is sometimes called a spermatocele. Epididymal cysts are quite common, particularly in men over 40.
